Re: my apoligies
Mon, June 26, 2006 - 12:57 PMI think there are other guys lurking around here, but don't take that as gospel. :) I hope they are, but I'm still seeing a mass amount of games marketed to males ages 15 to 26, and not so many unigender or female games. It's why the few there are like FFX2 stand out so very much. Not that it wasnt' a good game, I loved it, but it's a sad rarity, especially on the shelves of my local stores. -

Re: my apoligies
Mon, June 26, 2006 - 6:32 PMLurk? I do not lurk. I..., I..., strut proudly, yeah, that's it.
Actually, I'm here becuase I'm interested in the discussions of what is important to the female gaming community. It's partly because I'm a gamer and partly because I've been making them probably longer than most here have been alive. Since this is a group by and for gamer girls, I generally stay out of discussions unless there's a question that I have an answer for.
Good games that have cross-gender appear generally sell extremely well, like the FF franchise you mentioned. It's a pity more developers don't try to target that market when the return is good. But then that would take more imagination and design skills.
Guess I'll go back to lurking, I mean strutting.
