the pc version of bioshock running at 1920x1200 on an 8800 makes me want to lick my monitor. of course, it also made me want to run screaming. that game is scaaaaaaary.

It's such a bad addiction. We hate it at times, know that it eats up our lives and money, yet we go back to it again and again. Not that I can complain, I just spent the last two weeks beating Metroid:Zero Mission/Fusion and had such a goddamn ball with it. I would love to try Prime 3 but I am *so* bad at FPS's that I should surrender my Gamer Girl License. Luckily for me, the boy is good at them.... he'll prolly pick it up. Have fun with all those games - I think it's more than I could pin down at once!

I know what you mean. I want one of each. I'll probably pick up a Wii for parties and yeah, I'm itching to play Bioshock. I'll probably steam it for the PC and then spend $250 on an 8800 and cry that I have to run it on my Vista machine because it eats CPU for lunch. Played the demo of Heavenly Sword and it's simply beautiful, found no control issues in the 3 minutes of actual gameplay in the 1GB download. I'm leaving work in 30 minutes to pick up Warhawk because the retail copy for an additional $20 gives you not only a bluetooth but a manual so you can figure out the friggin controls. (I understand there aren't enough air vehicles to go around so enjoy fighting on the ground.) Lair comes in a week as well as Heavenly Sword with UT3 around the corner. First it's a drought and now there's too much to play at once. I'd have a 360 but it's just too much to justify along with a PS3 and a Wii not to mention my precious few HDMI inputs. OK, back to lurking but I fell your pain.

Dear Playstation, ...I think... I almost want an Xbox360. Have you seen Bioshock? It's crazy cool even for someone who sucks at FPS's. This is huge for me, since I have always been the biggest fangirl... I got a first run PS2 the day it released, I've diligently supported you against all the XBox kids... and yet.... I'm sorry Playstation, but you've disappointed me. PSP.... meh, it was your first real break into the portable market. We can forgive that. There are even some good games for it now, even if it's really obsolete next to the DS and the UMD movies are never going to make it main stream. But the PS3? I mean... come on. The price tag is way to high, and there was almost nothing released with it that made it a worthwhile purchase. I'm still waiting for Heavenly Sword (which now reports about controls are shaky) and White Knight. Will FFXIII even be on the PS3? You seem to be losing all of your exclusive lines.
