it makes me sad that no company will ever open their new system with an rpg.

i understand the reasoning.....but it still makes me sad.

i'd like an RPGthat gave you a lotta choicesin game play, sane graphics, abilityto avoid some missionsthat are assine and let designya character with racial features that are more diverse then 4 skin tonesandthen blue or gray skin L

            ...could save the game industry.

been preaching this same message for years: leave micosoft and sony to scrap over the old, tired console market. let's make whole new kinds of fun. then again, there's always the chance that people will just fail to 'get it.' remember the powerGlove? obviously a great concept, but it ultimately failed hard.

the ps3 and 360 will be really fun too, but we can expect the majority of titles to be more of the same crap that is clogging the shelves right now. this rampant malignant sequelitis is fast becoming pandemic.

I think Nintendo needs to think inside the box, and then outside. Meaning, first make a traditional console, and then make a revolutionary one. They are doing this with the DS and new GB I belive, but what about the console? Give people a choice, don't just say, "Hey, this is our new revolutionary console! If you don't like it, go buy our competitor's consoles."
