I'm addicted to Amplitude Online and looking forward to Jak II. I'm a pretty faithful PS2 gamer and haven't spent much time on my PC. Any new good RPG's I should watch out for? They're incredibly fun but horribly addicting... I enjoy my social life ^_^

It's been out for a little while, but I'm really enjoying the RPG Okage, the Shadow King on my PS2.

Besides that I'm a board game freak (Settlers, Killer Bunnies, Robo Rally, Wiz War, etc). It sounds geeky, but I've also been rediscovering dominos recently. It's kinda funny to see people's faces when they walk into a room to see a group of people intensely huddled over a table of dominos. There is a dominos game called matador that I highly recommend.

On PC I like Age of Empires and all of it's derivatives including Mythology. I can waste days on that game. Evil Microsoft!

I play Day of Defeat (Half life mod) regularly and love 'No One Lives Forever 2'.

I just got sucked into the pc game version of Temple of Elemental Evil (dungeons and dragons) which I have been playing Return to toee in a tabletop D&D game of for the last couple of years, I am getting to finally make the party I want where I can be the evil dead raising necromancer I really wanted to be. And then I decided to start another party that was a little less evil. I want to be a good evil dead raising necromancer. BAH!
I also play a lot of board games, we are big fans of Settlers of Katan, Puerto Rico, and we recently got to play Age of Mythology which is like Puerto rico but with fighting.

on the Game Boy- I just got sick of Mega Man Net battles and am putting it down for a while and am playing Zelda- Links asakening DX which is an old gameboy color game, and not an advance game.
I don't really get to play video games as much, because I work entirely too much, so mostly I get to boardgame with friends and be in the D&D tabletop game.

I'm currently playing .hack//infection and Dark Cloud on the PS2 and occassionally dabbling in Phantasy Star Online on the Xbox. I'm looking forward to Fable and True Fantasy Live on the Xbox because the Xbox needs more RPGs other than Morrowind. So as you can tell I'm an RPG addict. =)

I'm pretty much a novice at gaming. I want to get started but just can't find something that I am good enough at to keep my interest. Can anyone recommend a game that I can at least start off with a degree of competence? Thanks!

what do you have to play games with? Are you into board games, or live action games, or computer games, or game-station games? Do you want to play by yourself, with a group of friends, or online against some unknown cyber-opponent?

What other sort of things do you enjoy? What kind of books do you read? Is there any game that has kinda struck your fancy before?

Are you into race games? problem solving games? strategy games?

If you can narrow down your interests and what you have in mind I'm sure this group can really help you out!

que pasa, chicas. i'm a PS2 and PC gamer. mostly into RPGs, but i slut around in other genres. lately, on PC i'm playing Final Fantasy XII and Battlefield 1942. on PS2 i'm playing Soul Caliber 2 and goofin off in Vice City (not playing missions, just driving around and blowin shit up). i'm debating buying Final Fanstay X-2. i'm kinda scared i will be disappointed. i'm a huge FF fan and i <3 square, and i'm afraid this will suck and spoil my square love affair. (actually already happened, i bought Unlimited Saga, which should have been titled Unlimited Suckage)

I just acquired both Battlefield 1942 and_Splinter Cell (PC) and boy, am I in trouble. I spent a beautiful weekend indoors, slouched in my chair, sucked into both games.

I hear it's going to be kinda gloomy this weekend so perhaps I'll feel a little less guilty when I do exactly the same thing.

      Cheers,

Hiya Ladies, Mind if an ol' lady gamer joins up? I started with pong in High School and Have dabbled ever since.

Right now I'm playing a borrowed version of LoTR, Return of the King for PS2. Haven't been playing much lately so I'm still linbering the fingers up, lol. I just got myself RPG Maker. gotta get around to getting another mem card to start. It was my X-Mas present to myself.

I was playing Dark Cloud II but I lost interest, I liked the first one better. One of my kids got me Harvest Moon last X-Mas. Was fun but time consuming. More of a kiddy game, no hacking and slashing. And I loved Kingdom Hearts. Of course I grew up on Micky Mouse so It was purely Deja Viu(s), all over again. I'm going to get .hack from my nephew one of these days and give it a try.

I've recently gotten back into gaming after a many year (over 10 years) gap. I'm focusing on PS@ because playing a game on my computer isn't as fun or comfortable as sitting on my couch. Plus its good to keep work and play separate.

I just finished FFX and will likely get X-2 next weekend. I'll also probably get XI once it comes out for the PS2. I like these because I tend to get bored very quickly with twitch games. I play these things to get away from stress not add to it.

I agree. I don't like the games that rely as much on hand-eye coordination, cause when the pressures on I just don't have it. I like watching other people who are good at those sorts of games, but put me in the drivers seat and I'm miserable and do very poorly.

I like strategy game, RPGs, adventure games, puzzles, whatever. I did surprising well on SSX the first time I ever played it, which is why I got the PS2, I wasn't used to being good at a "race and trick" game, and I love that I'm better at it then most of my friends. However, I do better in the freestyle and trick courses than in the races.

I'm completely sucked into Morrowind and it's expansions and Final Fantasy X-2 when I can wrest the ps2 away from my husband or son. I am also playing on the side when I get bored or frustrated with my two beloved games: Four other final fantasies, DDR(the home version), Baldur's Gate 2, Neverwinter Nights, Icewind Dale 2, Civilization 2(for when you're really annoyed and just need to take over the world for a while), and Temple of Elemental Evil, with a ton of other still unplayed games sitting around. My husband is a sweetie, he keeps giving me new ones every holiday, faster than I can play! I love my life. :)

I just got my girlfriend a GBA SP and Super Mario 3 for her birthday... then within a couple hours of her opening it, we decided I needed one too... and then of course since we both had GameBoys... I got us Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles... wihch of course required accessories like the GameCube hookup... so while I was at it, we got little leather cases, earphones, and a link... she picked up super Mario 2, and I got Sonic and F-Zero..... and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance just came in the mail... and and... *head explodes* Yeah, that was a more expensive birthday than I was expecting her to have, but we're enjoying the GBAs so it was worth it. And it's always nice when we can actually find a game we actually like to play together. FFCC was a little confusing at first, but we're getting the hang of it.

Also, at work we've been playing Unreal Tournament 2004. And me and a friend just picked up Rise of Nations because I got ahold of a Microsoft Employee Discount.

I think my only complaint about FFCC is that you can't delete members of your party. When we started off, I realized that the empty homes in the town were for the empty slots in our party. Since my family was blacksmiths and that made a blacksmith available in town, I thought we should make all 8 characters so we had all 8 classes in town... so we do... and only a few of them are actually useful since we don't PLAY with the other characters we made... and now if we ever bring someone else into the game, they're stuck playing with the characters we already made.... pooey. :(

oddworld is classic. i know the bloke who did the music for that.

my favorite part is how you can pick up all your little alien buddies by the bum and carry them about.

Hello.. New to the tribe :)

I'm playing Rez right now.. but it's more like upping my score than anything.

Has anyone played Rez? I've been playing it for a few months here and there and it just hasn't gotten old!

Japanese, trance vibrator, music shooting game, something er' other? That sounds familiar for some reason. Friend of mine buys games, beats them in what he thinks is record time and them gives them away. The thrill is gone after he beats the game. Anyhow, he gave me some here recently that I in turn gave away to anyone who wanted them. I want to say, I saw that title in the last stash.

rez is fantastic. it's definitely a game you replay for score - though i have unlocked everything, because i've replayed it that much.

i'm currently playing killer7 and monster world iv for the megadrive.

Yeah, my boyfriend and I have also unlocked everything in Rez and basically Score-attacking each other.. hehe

My man finished Killer 7 a few weeks ago. It's so twisted and brilliant, I loved it!

I just started playing Sly Cooper 2.. well, trying to, anyway. I'm aweful at it right now.
