tonight, i ripped half of the fingernail off of two of my fingers. the really bad part?
the first thing i realized was how much this will hamper my gaming.
the second thing i realized was that gaming probably shouldn't be my first concern....but who knows, maybe that is the shock talking.

Thu, October 27, 2005 - 4:10 PMon sunday I did the same thing (only one nail tho) whilst heaving a big box of dishes and a lamp onto the conveyor belt at Ikea. The first thing I thought was "oh no my beautiful nails" because i had actually had them done for the first time in a million years the week before.
the second thing i realised was that there is obviously a reason why i don't get my nails done because caring about nails sets you up for tragedy. Don't do it, say no to nice nails or it will end in tears. -

they're real. yup, they're real. i just grow them till they break......but i mention they are real twice because of how long it usually takes them to break. most people have to get their nails done to get them this long.
the part i find most amusing is that my typing skill goes down whenever i lose a nail. -

Sat, October 29, 2005 - 4:07 AMi've never gotten my nails done as in the fake thing either but have just discovered this new buff thing that makes them look like they have clear nail polish on them and it lasts for weeks. that's my kind of nail care. otherwise it's a pretty random event that i actually notice them at all.
I do have a secret desire, just for the sort of mad tackiness of it, to have the full thing done with super airbrushed design and diamonds one day.
how do you type with long nails anyway? -

Mon, November 7, 2005 - 4:01 PMI always cut 'em off. It didn't used to be so important, but once I started playing Dark Age I found that having long nails was a PITA with all the slash commands. It improved my typing speed overall too. -
